It’s always troublesome to choose a product when you are starting or even if you are a seasoned essential oil user. Common questions arise such as what are the best essential oil brands available? or Which essential oil should I buy? If you are starting, you can read my mini guide of the top common essential oils to start with or just keep reading if you want to start with these ones.

I have curated the top 5 best essential oils brands you can use to enhance your health and wellness for these times of quarantine thanks to COVID19 and based on my research and experience in the matter. Remember, this is a list not a ranking therefore each one of the essential oils here have a specific purpose.

What to look for in an essential oil brand:

We need to have in mind that these essential oils are extracts made out of plants and flowers, either by distillation or by water press by experienced companies but is not an industry regulated by the FDA, therefore we need to be careful of the products we choose. Thankfully there is a bunch of people like me offering you essential oils reviews like this one so you don’t need to start from scratch.

We need to check the following when we are looking for a good essential oil brand, that is high quality and also guarantees our safety. Although we want to think about our economy as well, we should consider these before purchasing:

  • Essential Oils has to 100% pure, no fillers, no additives, no synthetics.
  • How long the company has been operating.
  • How accessible or easy is to find customer service.
  • What other people are saying about this product (reviews and ratings).

The products I’m reviewing happen to be on Amazon, which is important here because of the ratings and reviews, customer service, and overall buying experience is well-known and it helps us ease out in our quest of choosing the best essential oil for our lives.

1. Plant Therapy:

Essential oils company Plant Therapy started in 2011. They have a wide selection of high quality essential oils and their price is fair. One of the things I like about this essential oil brand is their transparent with their process, by showing their solid third party testing results on their website. With this, Plant Therapy guarantee all of their 125 single oils, 47 blends, 43 sets, 23 roll-ones, 24 diffusers and 20 carrier oils are 100% pure and of the highest quality.

2. DoTerra:

DoTerra Essential Oils was established in 2008 by a group of healthcare professionals. Their mission statement is “Bring a new standard of therapeutic essential oils to the world”. Same as Plant Therapy, DoTerra essential oils are tested to ensure potency, purity and consistency, having the CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Quality Protocol and you can check their quality reports on their website. DoTerra it’s a little bit pricey, but the quality is very good.

Rocky Mountain Essential oils has been operating since 2004 offering a full product line of essential oils certified by the USDA Certified Organic Oils, offering GC/MS test results from an independent third-party test lab. Rocky Mountain Oils also has a nice list of products such as skin care, clearning, wellness, body care and other natural supplements, including aromatherapy blending supplies.

4. Young Living:

Young Living Essential oils may be the oldest and the most known brand in the industry. Since 1993 and with headquarters in the US, the company has offices in Australia, Europe, Canada, Japan and Singapore. One of the things I like about this brand is their control of their product all the way from the very beginning; cultivating, harvesting and distilling their essential oils in their own fields, guaranteeing a very high grade standard, preserving integrity and potency.

5. Now Solutions

Now Foods was founded in 1968 and is a conglomerate offering a comprehensive list of products for various needs.
